Photographer Michelle Pedone makes her video directorial debut in her latest project "OtherWorldly SoulMates". This video is the first glimpse of a new series Pedone is creating called "Black Pop."
"OtherWorldly SoulMates" parallels Pedone's photography by pulling the viewer into her offbeat and whimsical worlds. Also akin to her still imagery, the video maintains her signature color palette and clean aesthetic sensibility.
Pedone writes about her project:
"Visually I wanted to portray a couple who's mission was to protect both the living and fantastical animals through their otherworldly ability to exchange souls and reanimate the dead.
The couple in the series are not unlike vampires, as they are immortal, but instead of blood they feed on love.
I was lucky to have my friends at the Emmy Award winning Saline Project on board to help the vision come to life with their exceptional skills in both editing and post-production.
Last but not least, no video is complete without a killer soundtrack. The original score "Loopy" was written and recorded by my husband, James Cooper, whose best known for his punk rock roots as the guitarist in the underground 80's band "The Meatmen".
